I've been asked by many of my clients over the past few years whether Sandrah Chalmers Art Palette creates murals. My answer has always been, no. I personally do not like murals for the simple fact that you cannot take them with you if you decide to move. After many months of research, it suddenly hit me that it is in fact possible to create pieces that could be mounted to the wall and create a more 2D mural effect. The Artist Panel will then be used as the painting surface, instead of your wall. One of the perks to having panels hanging on your walls is that the installation is not permanent. That baby's room does not have to look like a baby's room forever. The panels may be repainted and redesigned for a brand new look.

Materials

The Artist Panel is an acrylic gesso surface for oils and acrylics. This surface has a wonderful canvas-like texture that gives artists the advantages of a panel with the feel of a fine canvas. The frame is made with light colored birch plywood. It does come in several dimesions and profile sizes. High quality secured brackets will then be used to hang these panels.
